background and history

Born in 1973 in Hammersmith, London, I moved to Harlow, Essex and attended Kingsmoor and then Stewards School. During my time there I was selected for the Polymath team and also looked after and extended the school library's computerised book system which was originally written by a former pupil.

I gained 7 x GCSE passes C or above and in 1989 I joined Sainsbury's as a part time assistant while I attended Harlow college to study advanced level Computer Science and English.In 1990 I passed my driving test. Whilst at Sainsburys I won Regional Customer Service award and gained A and S Level passes at College.

In 1992, aged 19, I joined Debenhams as Trainee Manager and worked at the busy Lakeside Thurrock Branch. In 1993 I was awarded Employee of the Month.

In 1994, aged 21, I joined the Logistics division of Woolworths Head Office, London, as Supply Assistant and in 1995 aged 22 I was promoted to Assistant Supply Manager and gained vocational Logistics Qualifications (AMILOG). I became voluntary chairman of the Renault 5 GT Turbo Owners club (the car I had) and developed their website.

In 1996, aged 23, I was promoted to Assistant Merchandiser and in 1998 I joined the Company's IT Department as a Programmer. In 1999 I left to join an emergent dot com company "Level Five Solutions" as a Technical Architect and in 2000, aged 27,I met my long term partner.

In 2001 aged 28 I moved to Welwyn Garden City and joined Tesco.com (Head Office). I was given a "Values Award" for my work on the internal development environment and in 2002, aged 29, I started own company.

Between 2004 and 2007 I lived in Blackpool where my Company gained its own office. In 2006, aged 33, I sold my Company and became a freelance consultant.

Since then I have worked with a dedicated EPoS and e-commerce specialist and continued working on my own .NET powered e-commerce, retail and wholesale solutions.
